An extremely rare 2' two fold boxwood and brass rule by J PARKES & Son Reg'd June 28 1853 with brass slide and protractor hinge, also fitted with a brass cased compass with folding brass cover, the rule can also be used as a compass with folding brass gnomon, also with L.S.D. scales etc. (see Cat No 58 Lot 637 for the only other known) G+
